ASTM   D2136


Fabrics   coated with rubber or rubber-like materials display increased stiffening when   exposed to decreasing ambient temperatures. This test method describes a   simple pass/fail procedure whereby material flexibility at a specified low   temperature can be determined. ASTM   D2208


This   test method covers the determination of the breaking strength of leather by   the grab method. It is intended for use on light, soft leathers; boarded,   sueded, or embossed leathers tested on a specimen in the form of a rectangle   piece; narrow strap, welt, lace, and round belt leathers; or other leathers   that cannot be accurately tested by Test Method D2209. ASTM   D2209


This   test method covers the determination of the load required to rupture a   leather test specimen having a 1/2-in. (12.7-mm) width. The load to rupture   divided by the original unstretched cross-sectional area gives the tensile   strength.
